Jen

Jen started pole dancing in January 2014 at the age of 40. She had heard it was good for developing core strength which her doctors advised would help protect a slightly bulging disc from getting worse. What she discovered was that her growing strength led to a decrease in her overall muscular-skeletal pain and she became less clumsy! Her depression also decreased on the days following class, so although she rarely felt like going to class, she knew she would feel better once she started. Not a sporty person, she loves that pole is so fun that you don’t care that it is exercise. She is proof that you don’t need to be young, strong, fit or healthy to start pole dancing.

Jen complements her pole training with yoga, and qualified as a yoga teacher in 2016 with Power Living Australia and Rainbow Yoga and has been teaching yoga at Wagga Pole ever since. She loves that yoga strengthens and stretches her body in a different but complementary way to Pole.

Jen is the co-owner at Wagga Pole Studio with her husband Jeff. They have a red cattle dog named Warrior II. She (and sometimes Wazdog) can often be found at Studio Reception chatting with students and absorbing the studio atmosphere!

Jeff

Jeff started pole in January 2016 at the age of 42 when he realised that Jen would not stop nagging him to try it. He had spent 35 years playing soccer but now his knees had had enough of high impact sport; he needed something with the camaraderie of a team sport but where he could also ease off and not let anyone else down.

He loves the challenges and loves that he is accepted as "One of the Girls". He also loves popping on his 7” heels as it adds to the challenge and makes some minds boggle!

Jeff is co-owner with Jen. He has been teaching pole since 2018. His style of teaching developed from teaching soccer for 24 years: give instruction then subtly watch and give feedback when needed. Hence, he is a great teacher for new students with anxiety who don’t like to feel they are being watched, but if you need to be pushed, seek out one of the ladies. ;)

Dani

Dani started pole in Sydney in 2013 when a school friend suggested it would be great for fitness; she has not looked back. She relocated to Wagga for work in 2018 and upon deciding she couldn’t possibly give up pole, she joined us at Wagga Pole Studio. We are so glad for that decision!

Despite her busy nursing roster and love for the snow, Dani always finds time for pole. She loves the opportunity to perform and is mesmerising to watch.

Dani started her pole teaching career with us in early 2020 and is insightful, compassionate and always at the cutting edge of teaching techniques.

Bree

Bree started Pole in 2014 as a fitness activity. She had seen some of the amazing tricks done by pole dancers and wanted that for herself. Pole showed Bree that her body could do anything if she set her mind to it. When she started teaching in 2016, she brought this approach to her teaching.

She is the unicorn of strength and flexibility goals and brings the perfect mix of new knowledge and tried and tested stretching techniques to her Stretch classes. She cross-trains at the gym and cycling and anything else Heidi talks her into.

Bree teaches with cheekiness and compassion, making her classes highly sought after. Bree loves the dancing side of pole. She constantly seeks out new floorwork tricks and to pass this knowledge on to her students and fellow teachers. Bree is always putting together routines for herself, group classes and individual students in private lessons. She looks for any excuse to dance during class. And we all look for any excuse to watch and learn from her.

Heidi

Heidi started pole dancing at Wagga Pole in 2014. Heidi’s determination quickly took her up through the levels. The eye for detail which has made her a success in her day job, made her a natural choice for a teacher of our extreme sport and she began teaching at Wagga Pole in 2016.

Outside of pole, she loves going to the gym, walking her dogs and talking Bree and Dani into new and fun fitness challenges. She produces stunning graphic designs and calligraphy, and we 100% recommend her if you need those services.

Don’t confuse her introversion for anything else, as soon as she puts her teaching hat on, Heidi is goals for sure. Students can’t wait to join her class so they can learn from her! She is grace personified and it won’t be long before you are as bewitched by her as we are.
